Ruba is a Doctoral Student with strong research interests on food systems concerning food security, and sustainable livelihood strategies. Ruba earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Master of Science in Agroforestry from Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. She is a passionate agriculturist and researcher who is driven by the vision of sustainable development in her country and beyond. While working at Climate Smart Agriculture and Geo-Spatial Lab in Bangladesh, she has worked on research project and also conducted empirical research on social mainstream dynamics concerning food security, and climate smart agriculture practices aiming to find solutions to the socio-economic problems of farmers’ livelihood. Her current research focus is on how farmers’ livelihood strategies fostered by adopting and practicing agroforestry systems living in New England. Besides her research and academic activities, she loves swimming and traveling.
