Olivia Burton is a doctoral student with a focus on Indigenous food sovereignty and equity utilizing restorative justice frameworks. Olivia earned a BFA from Hampshire College and a Master of Food and Agriculture Law and Policy from Vermont Law School. She worked with the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems at Vermont Law School developing literature and conducting legal research for the National Gleaning Project. Her current dissertation project aims to explore issues of food sovereignty and equity through legal restorative justice frameworks for Indigenous Nations in Southern Arizona.
